Appointed Parliamentary Secretary to President of Privy Council, 1977 and President of Privy Council and Government House Leader, 1980. Sworn to the Privy Council, 1980. Appointed to the Federal Court of Canada, Trial Division and ex officio member of Court of Appeal, June 29, 1984. Appointed Judge of the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada, August 23, 1984.
