Born in Burnaby, British Columbia. Education at University of Manitoba. Called to the Manitoba Bar, 1977. Appointed Queen's Counsel, 1988. Practised with Aikins, MacAulay & Thorvaldson. Sessional Lecturer, Faculty of Law, University of Manitoba, 1986-1992. Commissioner, Uniform Law Commission of Canada, 1987-1989. Commissioner, Law Reform Commission of Manitoba, 1987-1999. Appointed Judge of the Federal Court of Canada, Trial Division and ex officio member of the Court of Appeal, December 8, 1999 and appointed Judge of the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada, May 10, 2000.
